Yes we are all very impressed by your pretentioness, you must be quite a primadona in your own mind.
Makes some of us wonder why you spend so much time in this forum instead of actually living the life of the rich and famous you simulate.
Excuse me? Where did I say I was rich or famous? My friend who is in Mexico right now works a blue collar job and saves her pennies all year to be able to take a vacation once a year in the dead of Canadian winter to a warm place. I'm very happy she's able to do so!

Funny. There's a thread called "Is Mexico Safe?" on a motorcycling forum I belong to; out of 17,000+ posts and counting, for every cautionary tale regarding corrupt cops, thieves, or bandits, there are about 200 posts whose gist is, "I'm in/I was in Mexico and I'm having/I had a great time, and I can't wait to come/go back!"
And keep in mind that these are people on motorcycles, who are the most vulnerable road users of all.

Because that doesn't mean anything. I have been in Oakland, East St. Louis, Detroit, Compton and nothing ever happened to me. Does that make them safe? Of course not and I sure am not going to be vacationing in those places.

So you are saying you have an 1 in 200 chance of being victimised while in Mexico right?
You do realize of course by those numbers it would easily qualify as the most dangerous place on earth.

Uh, no, that's not what I'm saying at all. My 1 in 200 guess was just that -- a guess. And a forum post about a cautionary tale does not correlate to actual crime data.

Uh, no, it wouldn't. The overall crime rate in the U.S. (combining violent and property crime) is 3295 per 100,000, or 1 in 30. That's a lot worse than 1 in 200.

We were not talking about property crimes we were talking violent crimes. But nice try at recovery.
