We just found out that we probably will not be able to get our things in storage in WI - new owner isn't calling back and there's a problem with the main gate according to the police.

Anyway, I prefer not to drive an extra 700 miles and not know if I can get our things. The bad part is we were supposed to leave tomorrow. I've been trying to get the owner since I found out on Fri

I'm hoping we can stay in our rental another day. but if not I sill have to finish packing, cleaning and picking a new route by Mon am.
Anyone familiar with this route TX to ME
I-40E to I-81 N isn't a problem. But at PA it goes:
I-78 to Allentown - I-287 to I-87S to NYstate thruway to I-287
I-95 N to 91N to Hartford - I-84E - I-90E to NH/Boston then 495.

Does this mean we go close to NYC and Boston traffic? I'm real nervous and not used to big city traffic, esp if I've never been there.
If it does get close to those cities, is there an easier way fom I-78 to Portland, Maine?

Where are you headed? I live right off of Route 495 in North Attleboro, MA. I know the route from PA to MA well. Drove it twice this past spring for vacation.
