We were thinking about going to DL for spring break but are afraid that it is going to be way to busy. So now we are searching for a place to go. We thought about San Diego but are afraid of to many drunk people and don't want my kids to be around that. Any ideas where would be a good place to go with kids who are 10 and 4? We are open to anywhere that is warm and has things for the kids to do.
If they like baseball and your spring break is in March then Phoenix can be a fun trip
You could do Florida as well - just pick & choose your beaches
I also wouldn't worry too much about a city like SD being overrun by drunk spring breakers - I'd be worried about the cost and the cold water, but not drunks
How about Pennsylvania? Sesame Place in Langhorne, PA
I don't know if your 10 year-old may think this is too babyish, but I had a great time. I think I've been 3 or 4 times as a kid.
Have you looked at Tampa FL area at all? From there you can easily drive to Busch Gardens. We don't have small kids but one year in late Feb. we flew into Tampa and drove over to Clearwater Beach, which about the end of February does get some shpring breakers. The started to arrive the day we were leaving. The sand beaches there are lovely with soft white sand. There is an aquarium at Clearwater Beach and also a great pirate ship you can go out on that kids seem to love. Also for me anyway, the location was worth it just for the sunsets. We took a daytrip from there up to Tarpon Springs, a town with some Greek history and you can go out into the bay on a boat and learn about sponge fishing.

I think Tampa is a good option as well. Another option would be a cruise (great vacation value), but depending on the week, you may run into a lot of spring breakers. The cruise lines do a better job controlling now, but there still are rowdy crowds. There is Club Med in Florida. They specialize in family-focused activities.
