Has anyone used Groupon to find discounted travel opportunities? A friend was telling me today that she often sees great deals for international travel but is a little leery about committing since she doesn't know anyone who has taken a trip using a Groupon "coupon". Your feedback would be appreciated.
I've done three great trip using groupons but none were international though I have looked.
We went to Blue Mountain Mist in Siereville, Tenn.
Cheeca Lodge in Islamorada, Fl. and Cotton Gin B and B in Fredricksburg, Texas
They were all fantastic.
I have looked into international trips and have found many that look promising. The biggest problem I see is that many of them fly into airports not close to the final destination and you have hours in a car or a boat ride or a smaller plane to get where you are going. This is why I have not booked one yet.
Other than that, I cannot wait to try one.
Check the Groupon guarantee and then make a decision. I will take more trips as I see great groupons. They often come with extra deals, like dinners, or resort cerdits too. I love Groupon!
