Belvidere, SD to Zumbro, MN 465 miles then up to the east Iron Range of MN about 255 miles, a total of 720 miles. I had two long visiting stops in addition to gas stops, so it took about 14 hrs. On an incredibly hot day in August.

I've done some of that with a Lake Charles, LA to Los Angeles drive before. After you get out of SATX, there really isn't much until you hit El Paso and then you get some more of not much. LOL.

I think one thing we can all agree on with the long trips is that you need some good music and maybe even a companion to keep some conversation going.

The farthest I have ever driven is from Aurora, CO back to Tempe, AZ in one day. Did not get back until past 1 am. Was exhausted but was ready to be home.

Ramsey, NJ to Wilmington, DE, to see a concert. This was before I knew how to use cruise control, so my knee was aching by the time I got done. I've been driver longer as a passenger though, I think from around Cheyenne, WY, to Cleveland, OH.

From Fort Lauderdale to somewhere in West Texas - at least 1,500 miles. It was late and I was tired as hell and just pulled off the road and got a bed.

I've done San Diego to Key West a couple of times, but that was with some sleep time in hotels along the way. The longest I've done without a hotel stop was San Diego to Beaumont, TX, 1550 miles, with about a 2 hour nap at a rest stop in West Texas.
