What kind of budget are you trying to stay within? That makes all the difference.

Oasis Cancun, it's huge and has the biggest pool in Cancun. It's so big that the food is never old at the buffet and it's always fresh and plentiful. Plus the beds are comfy!

I just stayed at the Sandos Playacar.. I think you would like it. Reasonable prices, decent food options, plenty of pools and space

IMHO, I don't think there's any substitute for Dreams Resort in Cancun, if only due to its superb location at the end of the peninsula, affording it 3 private beaches and considerable distance from all the other junk on that stretch. I know that's not exactly a requirement for kids, but they do have plenty of kid-freindly activities, like any other escort would, and it's just nice to have beach-space and multiple access options. It is all inclusive.

If you are going a few months from now, Dreams Cancun will not be an option. It is closing down in April and being converted to a Hyatt Ziva, scheduled to open toward the end of the year. Dreams Riviera Cancun would still be an option--Dreams is always a solid choice for family fun. Then again, with toddlers do you really need much more than a baby-sitter?

As a side note, how old will they be at the time of travel? If they are under 2 they should be free of charge pretty much anywhere, but most resorts charge a child rate for ages 2-12. If that is the sort of thing that will be a problem (or if you will be particularly annoyed paying the same rate for your little ones that the family next door is paying for their preteens) you may want to explore resorts that either offer children free or have an unusually-high age at which children start paying--Palace and Real Resorts are two brands that jump to mind in the latter category.

Please let us all know when and where you are going so we can avoid those weeks. I go there to get away from screaming little kids and please do not tell me yours is well behaved because I don't believe you

That's good to know. I hope it's nice as a Hyatt. I'm sure it will be given the location and other Hyatts.
