I've never been inside one in Las Vegas, but I've stopped for cheap lunch at a few in outlying parts of Nevada. I've been to six of the Indian casinos in Wisconsin, Michigan, and North Dakota for various reasons, and usually put a few nickels through the slots. My only "real" casino was in Macao, which I made a touristic point of going to, where I played the nickel slots for a few minutes. The machines took Macanese Patacas (about 15 cents).
I've wagered conservatively at the thoroughbred tracks in New Orleans and Lafayette LA, and the dog tracks in Boston and Kansas City.
Lifetime, I'm probably ahead, but only by a few dollars. I can always resist, when I'm driving by, unless I' m hungry.
I rarely wager any money (aka throwing money away), but my husband enjoys it sometimes for entertainment. Accordingly, we've visited many in Las Vegas, 5-6 Indian Casino's in Arizona, one Indian Casino in North Carolina, several gambling cruises off the Florida coast, casinos on various cruise lines, and the classic Grand Casino in Monaco. I've also been to one in London and the Atlantis on Paradise Island.
Now if you want to add horse and dog tracks to this list, I've been to far too many!
There are three tribal owned casinos in my area that used to have cheap dinner deals. They're not cheap anymore and since I have no interest in gambling.....
Las Vegas and Reno a zillion times, since it's close-by and my mother is a poker player - plus I briefly lived in South Lake Tahoe, where gambling was legal on the Nevada side. I've also been to casinos in Costa Rica (San Jose), Atlantic City, and a handful of Indian/tribal casinos around the country. I'd love to visit Monaco someday too!
I guess you could also count Jackpot, NV, along with a few other small cities in the state... seeing as they ALL have casinos and legal gambling, AFAIK. When I was driving back from Wyoming with a friend once, we crossed the border from ID into NV, and Jackpot was was that first town you hit. They don't waste any time getting you, huh?
Any I can get to. We don't have any around so if I want to go, we have to travel. My husband doesn't care too much for casinos but I LOVE them. He will take me (I don't drive) once in a great while. We have been to Vegas, Foxwoods/Mohegan Sun in Conn., and a few casinos that are along the high way going out west. But, since we spend many winters in Puerto Rico where his sister lives, she loves them as much as I do. So, Hubby stays home & SIL & I have a great time. I love having a casino buddy.
Numerous casinos in Vegas (mostly along the strip); Hollywood Casino in Charles Town, WV; Kewadin Casino in St. Ignace, MI (waste of time); Odawa Casino in Petoskey, MI.
Only been to the casinos in Macao. I soon figured out that I don't enjoy gambling at all. Plus, Macao is a prime example of how the gambling industry ruins a stunningly beautiful city. It's a shame how nightlife outside of the big casinos doesn't exist anymore...
Oh yeah, I also gambled a bit on the ferries between Turku - Stockholm and Helsinki - St. Petersburg. Meh...
