I imagine that going to Kenya for two weeks from Wash DC might be a waste. Indeed without the vacation spot, the time used buzzing around simply doesn't support the cost. I wouldn't do that excursion without no less than 3 weeks.
Positively the most effortless might be (Rome,Florence,Tuscany,Paris) and the climate ought to be extremely decent that time of year. Reserve funds could be attained as its shoulder season. I'd propose an elective, however. Do Rome/Florence/Tuscany, and rather than Paris, go to Istanbul. That excursion might be brimming with sentiment, extravagance (on the off chance that you need it), unfathomable (and fluctuated) nourishment, society and history. Istanbul is a stupendous city, tremendously underrated and appropriate to the individuals who are somewhat intrepid.

Kenya (safari and beach)
Peru (Machu Picchu and the Amazon)
Ecuador (mainland and the Galapagos)

If any of you have been to these destinations, please share some insights from your trip. If not, chime in with where you would go to help us make a decision!
I have been to Italy (Rome) and Paris as well as to Ecuador (mainland and the Galapagos). Rome and Paris are great if you are looking for a cultural historical type vacation. Mainland Ecuador and the Galapagos are great if you are looking for ecological/nature vacation with a bit of history/culture thrown into the mix.

My dream trip would be heli-skiing in B.C. or the Chugach. I already started a piggy bank saving for it.

I would fly around the world: San Francisco--London--Tokyo--San Francisco. I would stay in London for a week, Tokyo for a week also.

Alaska or Siberia. Going to the former later this year. Hope to see the latter before I die.

I'm going to Rome this October by myself just for a week. Husband does't want to go since he's not into museums and such so I've decided to go solo. I'll probably enjoy this so much more since I can do whatever I want without having to worry about whether he'll enjoy it or not .

I agree with the above poster about Istanbul. Good food, rich history, lots of arts to admire, relatively easy to get around.

Also, traveling for 2 weeks is actually not that much time, especially if you're going to cross continents. Factor in the time difference, if you leave Saturday for Europe, you won't reach until Sunday. If you go to Asia, you will reach Monday. Pick a city or two at the most, so you have time to do the romantic spur of the moment thing without having to worry about schedule too much.

Last year, I met a couple from New Zealand in Morocco. There were 3 from Australia in our group as well.

My dream vacation has always been two weeks in Greece and Italy. I've shaken up the dream a bit and will be going just to Greece for almost 3 weeks in mid-September.
