Up until the past few years when the prices got out of control, most of the people I know in the greater Orlando area visited the theme parks at least a few times a year. A good 25-30% of my friends still have annual passes of one sort or another.

Because Orlando is such a tourist mecca, we tend to not tell the tourists about the fun places that locals go, because we don't want them to become overrun with tourists.

2) Seeing the sights

1) Getting lost and getting a feel for the place

3) Sampling the local cuisine

7) Meeting the local people

4) Capturing memories with your camera

6) Doing something out of your comfort zone fun and adventurous

5) Pampering yourself/chilling out/luxury accommodation

Last year we went on our first family vacation and randomly found ourselves at a Goodwill. We could have done that at home but somehow it was much more exciting in another state.

When I was younger, I used to take pictures of everything. Now I rarely do on trips. I want to do things, not pause and document them.
