Default Caribbean help

Next January Im taking a cruise to the Caribbean and although Im ecstatic about it, I have a few questions. We'll be attending a wedding in Cozumel (beachfront wedding) and have all day to explore. I dont know where about in Cozumel, but how is the area? Safe? Is the humidity unbearable in January or is it nice? The second stop will be Grand Cayman, anyone have info on that place as well? Any recommended beaches? Restaurants? I assume the weather there will be comparable to Cozumel? From what I have quickly researched, highs are in the low 80s, lows are in the mid 70s. Sounds like Heaven!

I'm going on a cruise in Feb that includes Cozumel -- and this was a link i was exploring
http://cozumelcruiseexcursions.com/

I went to Grand Caymen when i was in High School... just stunning.
If you are any where near "7 Mile Beach" there should be plenty to do.

IT's grown so much since i've been there, i wouldnt be any help with restaurants etc, but killer shopping.

Thanks alot for the link! I cant find many picture of GC online, except for the 7 mile beach area, which does indeed look lovely. Ill be sure to hit that up.

On Grand Cayman there is also the turtle farm, it was worth a visit.

I do recall going there too... and on the way, you will pass a gas station [if it it still there] in Hell.
[i was there in 12/83]

sort of a 'novelty' to stand in front of the sign for a photo op.

From what i recall of Caymen, it wasn't humid at all. we even had a day or so where it rained.

I went strictly for a "dive vacation" so we didnt do much else beside dive ... 6+ hrs a day on a boat ... so we didn't do the beach thing at all, though we did go one cloudy day.

snorkeling would be awesome too, if you do not dive. there is enough shallow stuff. I recall a boat dive we did, called the Oro Verde. it was in about 40' of water. totally cool.

I'm excited about Cozumel too, as i;ve never been there ... may do a "temple" outing and maybe some snorkeling.
