I'm looking to plan a 1 week vacay and was going to go to Miami, but realized it'll be hurricane season if I go in Sept or Oct...

Any suggestions on nice beaches to go to (anywhere in the world) this time of year that will have a higher chance of nicer weather?

Caribbean, outside the hurricane belt: The ABC islands, as they're known (Aruba, Bonaire, Curacao). Relatively steady year round temps...but these are arid islands, not lush tropical/rainy ones.

I just realized you said anywhere in the world. I'd forget the Caribbean then. Hawaii, Greece, Australia, Portugal...so many choices.

I wouldn't worry about Hurricanes, the chances of it actually hitting is low. Also, October is pretty late for a hurricane.

Go to Miami and enjoy it there. Miami is an awesome city.

If you don't mind leaving the US, I'd check out San Andres or Cartagena Colombia.

Southern California would work that time of year, usually.

I'd go to Hawaii. The weather is always nice and I don't think there's been a major hurricane there since Iniki in 1992.

I think you have a lot of good choices there, plus, the chances of a hurricane are pretty slip, specially if you wait til, say mid Oct. Yes, there have been some in recent years and yes, they have been devastating but they are still slim. The southern Ca area is still nice and warm in Sept/Oct but if you want to ocean for swimming reasons. the water is down right cold. The east coast, Caribbean, and the Gulf, plus Hawaii are much nicer.

It's pretty uncommon for any one place to get a hurricane.

I think not choosing a place because of a hurricane possibility is being a little too over cautious..

San Diego weather should be good during those months. Beaches are gorgeous and there are a lot of touristy things to do.

Oahu in Hawaii, or Mauii.
