I would like to see Pyongyang, North Korea and get away from the glitter and craze of South Korea.
What are my options? And where do most people stay in North Korea? I am feeling good because during the global financial crisis, North Korean real estate was not affected at all, which is amazing
What do things cost in North Korea and what towns are most and least expensive to visit? Are there river cruises? Just wondering
Are you serious? This has to be a joke. River cruises? HAHAHAHAHA
It really bothers me that people want to go visit North Korea on their vacation. What do you plan on doing? Getting your nice little guided tour so you can watch millions of people living in ignorance, being lied to and starving? Oh yeah, you'll become such an open minded person if you get that guided tour and are showed only what the North Korean government allows you to see. You think you're supporting the people if you spend the time traveling there? No, you go there and you're just lining the pockets of some of the worst dictators in our recent history.
One of my pet peeves are the people that travel to warzones or countries that are hostile to their own country (i.e. going to NK if you are an American). They get in some kind of trouble and then we have to spend a load of money to get their stupid selves back.

You have to admit though, North Korea is probably safer for an American to travel to than some of the middle-eastern countries right now.

This was my thought EXACTLY.
OP, I wish you would watch this VICE documentary about when Dennis Rodman went to North Korea, then come back and tell us how you still want to go there and support this regime.

Unless of course this is a joke, in which case, good one!
I think Dennis Rodman wanted to explore, and be a culturally diverse individual, but it turned on him when people started taking notice of what he was doing. I still thought it was wrong that people were pressuring him to do things, such as talk to him about releasing prisoners, ect. He didn't signup to be Ambassador Rodman. His relationship with Kim should be left at personal to say the least. That's why networks like TMZ shouldn't exist. I mean, he did help kids play basketball over there, so it's not like he was doing nothing.
One doesn't visit a place just because it is unique. I can think of a lot of unique places that I would never visit. Why would anyone consider visiting a country that first of all, hates American?

It depends on the safety status. I would certainly choose North Korea over Iraq right now.

In that case, no American should leave the US
(joking, joking)
