If you had one year where you could spend each season in a different place, where would it be?

My choices:
1. Summer - Coronado CA; Vacation rental… every day at beach
2. Fall - Hampstead NH; Cottage on a lake… lots of Day trips
3. Winter - Crested Butte, CO; Ski in-out condo… winter sports
4. Spring - Page, AZ; Houseboat on Lake Powell…

Of course I didn't include any international destinations, which would also be great, but my personal preference is to NOT fly. But there's no rules here so have at it.

My choices:
1. Summer - PNW
2. Fall - New England and Eastern Canada (I prefer NB and NS)
3. Winter - UT… winter sports ---- TX Hill Country
4. Spring - Desert wild flowers, and UT National Parks.

For International: (low risk traveler)
1. Summer - Northern Europe (but busy)
2. Fall - Spain / Mediterranean
3. Winter - NZ and Cook Islands
4. Spring - SE Asia / China

For International High risk traveler: Would like to hear your suggestions!

Summer- the Lake Michigan coast near Traverse City, Michigan. Great beach weather that time of year, and inland lakes are usually quite swimmable.

Fall- Okay, I'll take Hawaii because it just sounds nice.

Winter- San Luis Obispo, CA. Mild weather, beautiful coastline, not insanely crowded like you get south of there.

Spring- Southern Utah before it gets too hot, and even with three months, I'll only get to see a small sliver of its beauty.

I was out in the Grand Circle area last October. While it seemed to be a good enough time for our few days in Nevada/Death Valley area, it was cold enough that the mountains in Utah had snow. Not knowing the roads we were unable to drive UT-12 the entire way. Is the tourist season in full swing in the spring? What about Sept.?

Default Great suggestions so far! :)

Spring: New Orleans, La. / Paris, France

Summer: Big Sur, Ca. / Olympic Peninsula, Wa.

Fall: The Upper Peninsula of Michigan, especially the Keweenaw Peninsula (gorgeous!) Aiming to experience New England, especially Maine!

Winter: Haven't taken an official winter vacation with winter sports etc. However, we had an early storm come in during late fall in Lake Tahoe a couple years ago. We were in a cozy cabin with hot tea and jigsaw puzzles and it was amazing!

Also for a winter vacation I would LOVE to go to Finland and experience a dog sled and the chance to see the Aurora Borealis!

Very interesting answers… Curious as to why you chose Girdwood for WINTER though. Assuming it's for the ski resort, my understanding is that spring is optimal ski season there, and Jan-March is optimal in Aspen. Aspen is beautiful for flowers in the LATE spring (like June) and summer… Not doubting you though, just curious. I know it's hard to draw clear lines between seasons. I'd thought of choosing CO for Winter (snow) AND Spring/Summer (flowers).

All the answers on here are good so thanks to all for playing!
