I doubt they would give an 18 year old with limited income a high enough credit limit to spend that type of money.

Spend four times more than you need to to earn $20 worth of miles. Brilliant. A fool and his money...

It's not often that I will say this, but she's right. That's not any sort of judgement on you. It's just very unlikely that an 18 year old with limited income (any income?) will be given much credit.

Grow up. I've tried to give you advice, but you don't want to take it. You'll learn--the hard way.

My son was around that age when he got his first credit card, and they gave him a $1000 credit line. They gradually increased it over the years as he proved his creditworthiness over the years. That's typical. When I was in college I had a couple credit cards and I don't think any of them gave me more than $1000 in credit line to start.

Well to be quite honest with you it doesn't bother me. You come across as a very grumpy old woman who needs to lighten up.

Um, right. You need to learn to take advice from people who know what they are talking about and put away your spoiled brat attitude. And your evil laser eyes.
