Yes, I get international minutes with my top up. I'm not particularly worried about the cost, I would make a one or two minute call every day or two. I just want to be able to actually connect the call.
I don't believe that my US phone (which is quad band GSM activated--I've used it in several Euro countries) will work in Cuba, which is why I was thinking my UK phone would be a good option.
