I am traveling right now. I am in another city (same state TX). I lost my license. I am leaving on Monday. I know I need my ID to board the plane. My mom was going to Fed Ex Next Day my passport. Would this work for me to leave?

Sorry I said I was leaving Saturday but I switched it to Monday to give me time to get my ID!

All you need is a picture ID - Passport will work. --- Of course, you may have a problem if you need to rent a car at the other end. - Sorry to hear about your license.

Did you try a DMV office to get a replacement? Not sure what proof you may need for them.

Acceptable IDs | Transportation Security Administration

If your passport doesn't arrive in time, you still may be able to fly, but I would arrive at the airport extra early.

You can clear security without ID. It may take longer, it may require "extra screening" (pat down, perhaps?), but it is possible. They will use other means to verify your identify. If by some chance they still aren't able to confirm who you are then there is a chance they won't let you through. But it sounds like that is uncommon.

Yes, your passport will be fine, (as long as the name on it matches your ticket).

This is accurate. I left my license at TSA once on the outbound flight. Thus, I had no license for my flight home. The only photo ID I had was my Costco card, but I had credit cards that matched tge bame on my boarding pass. Full pat down, full baggage search and about fufreen minures of extra time at TSA was all that was required.
