We used to stop every year on our way back from our Ocean City trip at a pumpkin patch over on Maryland's Eastern Shore.

It was just your average pumpkin patch, but one of the few around here where you can actually go in and pick your pumpkins right from the plant. We all liked it until they started charging admission just to go in, whether or not you left with any, which you still had to pay for depending on size. I think it's quite tacky for a pumpkin patch to charge admission just for the privilege of going in.

Huh? Why would anyone avoid the Taj Mahal? Never in my life have i heard anyone even remotely suggest that it is a tourist trap worth skipping.

Rock city and Ruby falls in Chattanooga are pretty lame. Ruby falls is nothing but a well used cave with an underground waterfall (very low water flow). They shine a red light on it and call it ruby falls.

Rock city has a nice view but the rest of it is just rocks. If you go over to the other side of lookout mountain the civil war site has just as nice views for a fraction of the price (park service admission fee).
