Very nice video. If you would like to come and see Amish country in the Berlin, Ohio area, please check out Zinck's Inn. Located in the heart of Amish country, Zinck's Inn has incredible views and is within walking distance to a variety of major attractions!

What would a "major attraction" be in Amish country, a barn raising?

Check out the museum in Shipshewanal, Indiana. The town is kind of kitchy shops but if you come on Saturday, the Amish are shopping and if you walk around you can see stores that cater to the Amish. Be sure and buy a copy of the Budget newspaper. There are beautiful farms and in spring/fall they are out farming with their horses. Lots of BandBs in the area and several wonderful restaurants.
I love the area on Friday/Saturday. There is a store in downtown Middlebury right next to Shipshewana that sells the fabrics and specialty items to make Amish clothes. Between the two towns is an example of a one room school. But my favorite is the museum. I learned so much.

Amish people are as interested and interesting as anybody else. And, like anyone else, they don't want to be considered oddities, so they really don't like their picture being taken by strangers. However, they do like to talk about their culture to the truly interested. Ask children where they'd like to go if they could go anywhere. Discuss the different shades of colors for clothes, lengths of beards, buttons vs zippers, kerosine or diesel, admire their horses and buggies. They love to teach. I've never met a rude Amish or Mennonite person. They're just cautious of the "English".
