I was thinking on a cruise holiday this summer? I want the cruise to be in the Caribbean, and I want to fly from the UK. Is it possible to get a three week cruise that goes round all the islands???
What about stopovers? Are they paid?
There are no three week cruises in the Caribbean. You would need to put back-to-back cruises together, and even then you will end up repeating an itinerary as the best you'll find are alternating weeks. (ie Disney for example sails the Eastern Caribbean one week and Western the following, then back to eastern.)
When you say stopover, do you mean the days in Port? If so while in port you will be responsible for your own meals and entertainment and excursions unless you stay on the ship. Some of the luxury ships include a limited number of "free" excursions, although in theory you are paying for them with the higher fares.
The first question is what do you want out of a cruise? A lot of action? A lot of ports? Relaxation? Are you pretty easy to please for food or do you want a gourmet meal each night (on most ships this will require a surcharge.)

If you are talking about June, July or August ... Keep in mind that the Caribbean is hot and humid. Three weeks is an awfully long time to be cruising especially during the hot summer months.
August is also peak hurricane season, so it's not uncommon for cruises to change their itineraries without notice in order to avoid bad weather. On the bright side, you can get some good deals that time of year because of that.
Yes I was thinking about the hurricanes, when we in Florida this summer I seen on the weather a number of storms out in the ocean. Wouldn't want to be in a hurricane.

Well I haven't actually been on a cruise before so I don't know what I want or if i'd like it. I want a cruise that is about 4* and not full of loud drunks i.e. not a teenage castaway but at the same time not an old age cruise. I want a cruise with a lot of entertainment, I seen a cruise on the travel channel with a lot of shops is this common?
I wanted to goto the Caribbean as i've always wanted to go there and i've already seen enough of the Mediterranean. I've looked at Royal Caribbean and it looks nice. I don't know what way the stopovers work, do they stop for a few days or just a few hours?
I kind of want a cruise that does a stop for a day or so at each port. Also what are the ships like when moving, do you feel it?
