Default How many US states have you visited?

Since we are all discussing what countries we've visited, let's talk about how many states in the US we have all seen.

I'll start...I have been driving and visiting all over the country so my grand total is 42. I need 8 more states, including Alaska and Hawaii.

Default Impressive!

35 for me... looking forward to visiting the Dakotas (love to see the Badlands, in particular) and NH/Vermont/Maine in the future. I'm trying to envision a scenario where I'd visit Kansas, Arkansas and Mississippi but haven't come up with it yet.

All fifty. I'll be hitting up some of the pseudo-states this year including Puerto Rico and the US Virgin Islands.

Think of a crooked drive through all states since they are near each other but not next door. Like I need Michigan, Wisconsin, Minnesota, North and South Dakota, and Montana. What I'd like to do is fly to Chicago, rent a car, then drive through each and every state. And take a picture of the "Welcome To" signs. I've done that in most of the states I've visited except for Tennessee because the sign was on top of the bridge that crosses the Mississippi and I couldn't pull over.

Well.. definitely not as many as you guys

Are we counting states we've driven through?

Lets see, I've stayed in..

Florida (obviously)
Georgia
Tennessee
Louisiana
Alabama
Arizona
California
Illinois
New York
Delaware
Massachusetts

So thats 11, and 12 if we're counting Puerto Rico... Hmm I think I've driven through more than I've stayed in . I'm looking forward to visiting Oregon (specifically Portland), Utah (SLC area), Washington State (Seattle), and other parts of California (San Francisco, Tahoe, Napa Valley, Santa Barbara, and Carmel). And would love love love to see Alaska.

Ok, well in that case, I'll add..

North Carolina
South Carolina
Washington D.C.
Maryland
Pennsylvania
Connecticut
Rhode Island

And the ones I stopped at to eat and whatnot:

Kentucky
Indiana
Mississippi
Virginia
New Jersey

So 23 total. I feel like I cheated adding the ones I only drove through though
