Which would be cheaper if I wanted to travel to Arizona from Georgia?

Airplane or Bus

Did you check the airfares and the bus tickets? One way? Round trip? Airport to airport or town to town?
We don't know where in Georgia to where in Arizona. There is no way to guess...

where to where? Each state has lots of airports and bus stations.

SWA 'low fare calender' or other low fare air carriers will be best bet and get you there safely.

Axe murderers and parole jumpers travel via bus and it is slow, dangerous and scary (don't fall asleep!).

I have not found it cheaper to travel by bus. (I would rather hitch-hike... safer)

I'd much rather take the 4 hour flight over a 3 day bus ride, period.

This, and that is worth a premium to me (e.g. I would pay more for airfare than bus).

The real issue here is why are you asking us which is cheaper? This information is readily available online. Go Google it and let us know what you find.

OP, you are going to need to call a few airlines and the bus lines to get the price of tickets.

For the bus, you also need to add in the cost of several days worth of meals and maybe a motel or two, unless you intend to sleep on the bus.

A bus is a lot more comfortable than a plane but the trip is a heck of a lot longer.

Don't forget to price out the trip by rail, while you are at it.

I agree with the others, it depends where you are going in Arizona. Since you're in Decatur I assume you'll leave from Atlanta. Flying will be a bit cheaper (or the same price) but a lot more convenient.

For ATL-PHX, greyhound.com tells me it's $145 one-way, US Airways/AA, Delta and Southwest all have direct flights for $99 or $119 on some days (weekends cost more).

Here is a bus I'd be willing to use for the trip from ATL to AZ

Star Coaches, Inc. | Atlanta, GA Luxury Party Bus

I bet it won't be Cheap.....

Airplane. 3 Days is worth more than a $150 difference.
