I believe all trains in London leave from the St. Pancras Station. In Paris all trains arrive at Gare Due Nord. Its a very fast train. It moves at about 200 miles an hour. We spent about twenty minutes under the English Channel. I think its an important part of traveling to Europe. You really come to appreciate their modern infrastructure.

they are regular high speed trains. they feel a bit dated by now, but they are generally ok.

it's just a 2h trip, so it doesn't matter much. You can also take the Eurostar in Brussels or Lille to go to London.

I will take it as first time visit to both cities in few weeks from London to Paris (round-trip)
My first time using Eurostar was in 2013 from London to Paris and back, and it was very enjoyable and comfortable.
