Exchange rate travel (Paris, 2015, Europe, flights)

Anybody going to Europe in light of the very low exchange rate? $1.05 = 1 euro right now.

Yes.

The £ is at a seven year high against the Euro so I'll be off again to Italy next month where my daughter is living.

Off to Norway in the summer, but they have their own currency.

My friend works at a currency exchange, he said people with trips booked for this summer as much as a year out are buying their euros now because of the low rate.

The GBP to NOK exchange rate is very favourable now.

March 2015: 1 NOK = 12 GBP
March 2014: 1 NOK = 10 GBP

Just got back from London and Paris and unfortunately another trip isn't in the cards right now.

Unfortunately, the next trip I have is going to places that have pegged their currencies to the dollar

I've been thinking about Ireland in August - flights are pretty cheap, plus the favorable Euro. I'm planning to do my doctoral preliminary exam this summer, and need to get the date(s) for that settled before I make any travel plans. The trip would be a nice celebration!
