It can take a hour or so off-peak to get enough in the van for them to go. Not sure what there magic % full is, But if there are reserved people on that van going in that direction, and the flight is arriving soon you will wind up waiting for them to arrive (Figure 30+ min or so for that group).
This is my biggest reservation for using SS. Inbound to the airport, they're great.
Where I use to live (They are very new to the Atlanta Market, so have not tried them here), I would mostly use it inbound to the airport, Generally I was the last pickup.
On the way home I would find the wait to long, even with a reservation, it did not seem to mean anything, you had to wait for enough to fill the van, or They seem to need the Van to do a return trip and start a pickup cycle again.
So often I would, get a car service from airport to home, They company I used was one step above a mom/pop, they would track your flight, and have a car in the Cell Lot, a quick call when on curb, they drive by in a un-maked car Pickup and go.
I use them pretty routinely. At very busy airports, I've never had to wait for more than ~10 minutes to get a full van, and they can usually load the vans so there are multiple passengers at each hotel, so fewer stops (this is especially true if you are heading to/from the main tourist/hotel district). At smaller airports, or airports that serve more suburban/less dense areas, the waits can take longer.
