Is anyone here familiar with the super shuttle airport service? How punctual is it? If your return flight has a delay, how to guarantee the shuttle will still be at the airport for you (shared van with other passengers)? Any good/bad experience? Thanks.
(I understand I could ask the super shuttle reps but would like to know real personal experiences)

We used it frequently when we lived in the Phoenix metro area for 20+ years. Only once had a problem with the driver a.arriving late. If you arrive at the airport late, carry their phone number just in case, but they work 24 hours.

However, if you are traveling as a couple or 3-4 people, a taxi may be cheaper. Compare costs carefully.

Thanks. I called them and they said they don't have a van waiting specifically for you anyway. Just tell the ground transportation to contact them upon arrival at airport.

Yup, delays on the return aren't an issue.

I've used them in the past - positive experiences generally.

I have used them a couple times.

Pros
If traveling alone they are usually much cheaper than taking a taxi.

Cons
Takes a long time to get anywhere. You may end up waiting 30 or more minutes just for other riders to show up. Then the van may stop at several places before getting to your stop.

Thanks. That's good to know--the time-consuming trip! The pick up time they provided for me is 4.5 hours before my flight departure schedule. I hope the 30 minute wait is not true??? They give 15 minutes window. If we have to wait 30 min for the late passengers, then I surely would don't want to get up so early just to wait for others!!

The 30 minute wait is more for when you are going from the airport to your home. They will usually wait until the van is mostly full before you leave the airport so if there aren't many people going in your general direction you may have to wait until more people need a ride. Getting to the airport they will schedule to pick you up with more than enough time to pick you and others up and get you to the airport with plenty of time to spare for your flight.

Going to Airport:

They will not wait, They arrive at X , if you are not ready to go, (other then minute or two for kissing and getting in van), The driver will give a quick knock on the door, or into lobby of hotel/office, and turn and go).

From airport:

It can take a hour or so off-peak to get enough in the van for them to go. Not sure what there magic % full is, But if there are reserved people on that van going in that direction, and the flight is arriving soon you will wind up waiting for them to arrive (Figure 30+ min or so for that group).
