Thanks, Finger Laker! I've kinda run out of ideas for new things to do this week and there's more to Phoenix than what I see out of this window or when I walk to the 'Y' (I'm here with no car so thanks for the info on the light rail). I wanted to see Mel's Diner from 'Alice' but I don't think it has the same...excitement now?

When I come back in the fall I'm definitely doing side trips to places where I can go to, see, and come back in a day. Tucson looks interesting. I think Nogales is too far and I'm not sure if I'd see anything exciting there.

And yes, some of the people here have told me some interesting stories. I think a lot of them live here permanently but I kind of figured that when I got here.

No idea what you are into, but light rail can get you into Tempe and Tempe has a circulator bus system, orbit.

Heritage Square is another area you could walk to. The Rosson House tour isn't that extensive it's a late 1800s Victorian house
