I was detained in the Vienna airport yesterday for almost an hour and almost missed my flight - due to a brollytime.com umbrella. Security thought the handle looked like brass knuckles - even when they handled it and saw it was mostly foam and very light weight. The airport security called the police on me. BTW I am not close to the profile of a scary person. It was a scary experience. Apparently it's not enough to be vigilant of the list of forbidden items - it is also necessary to consider whether something could be used as or resembles something dangerous. The brollytime umbrella went into the garbage bin at Heathrow.
