I wouldn't count a stay where you left the city for a day trip to an attraction in the same region--for example if you visited San Francisco for a week but spent a day in Napa and then returned to San Francisco that evening, that still counts as a continuous stay in San Francisco as you returned the same day.

10 days, Trinidad and Tobago

How much time did you spend learning the language?

We enjoyed ten days in Amsterdam. We had a free rental car and went on day trips. We took a ride on an antique train , visited windmills, saw a farmer in the field wearing wooden shoes. Madurodam is a miniature town that is fun to visit. We went to an art museum in the forest at Appledorn. Who knew there was a forest in Holland?

Native speakers of English don't need much help to learn a few Aussie words that are different than standard American or British English!
