In the U.S.? Go deep into the Appalachian Mountain Districts, and, once there, you'll wonder why you don't need a passport and visa to visit these areas! As close to foreign travel as you're going to get!

Just pray your car doesn't konk out on you on one of those rural gravel roads! Then you may really be in for an adventure!
