Just out of curiousity how early do you people pack your luggage (etc 1 or 2 weeks in advance )? And how long do you take to pack your vacation luggage ?

About 3 hours, assuming all the stuff I'm taking is clean! If not...however long it takes to wash it!

It's not rocket science!!!

I usually pack the night before a trip. But I will have a designated area a couple weeks before (usually the guest bedroom) where I will lay items that I don't want to forget. As I think of them, and provided I won't need them in the meantime, I'll lay items out in my packing area.

I can't start the actual packing part until I have everything gathered. What I'm taking will determine how it gets packed.

Whenever we travel I first make a list of all the items I will need then the evening before we leave everything gets packed and some things get left because I decided I did not need to pack them.

Usually about an hour, 1.5 max.
Unless you have a bunch small kids, I don't understand why people would need to skip work or events because "I have to pack".

Well for me, packing often means having to do a couple loads of laundry first.

3-4 hours the night before leaving. Have a typed list and just follow it. Add things as necessary depending on destination.
