Florida and NYC are two completely different markets with different price points.
By the way, it is a pittance. Just because you think it's a lot, the big picture is that for many it's pocket change and the stores don't really care about you if that is all you plan on spending. You are just another face in the crowd.
Yupp, especially in stores where they work on commission.

I recognize that, the OP however does not. She thinks $600 is a lot of money. Period. I was trying to find a way to draw a comparison to help her out.
I also meant the lower income area malls. Not Short Hills. Think malls with JC Penny as the anchor.
$600 isn't even a lot at Marshalls or TJ Maxx if you're buying designer items.
For example I got a $400 designer bag at Marshalls. Even there on discount it was still $200+ .
Honestly OP buy clothes where you live. Take that $600 and use it to sight see.
Thank you i'll check that out then. I'm not interested in Prada or Gucci though.
As I said before medium brands.
We get it. And as I said in my opening statement about Century21 they carry brands like Guess, Ralph Lauren, etc. - all medium brands. I just mentioned the others just in case you were interested as the prices sometimes aren't that much more and you can get something different than standard mall fare - just trying to offer some advice, which is what you asked for. I really can't understand the hint of snark in your responses, people are spending their time to politely respond to your question. If someone answers your question but offers some additional commentary you could care less about, why not just take the part that you find informative and quietly disregard the rest?
The tone of your response is one of frustration as if we were paid consultants not responding correctly to the tasks you have assigned us. When ironically (since we have taken politeness off the table here), your question was somewhat idiotic when you have asked a question about mass produced clothing that can be available in pretty much any store anywhere and in the US for a price +/- 10% across those stores. A quick check at the online offerings and prices could have confirmed that. Your screen name pretty much says it all.

Thanks then. I'll just kill myself because i'm just a waste of space like a fly on the ground.
Not really sure! Off to dc in about a week and I have to buy new clothes. I'm spending like $600 so I should be able to get more than enough.
It will mostly he medium level brands. I am going out to the Tyson's corner center which looks great and a day out, I'm just not sure if it would be better for me to buy my clothes in NYC or Dc? Is it cheaper in NYC? Do they have better sales?
Also how much money should I budget each day for normal things in nyc besides clothes shopping? It's hard to predict.
I recommend New York. If on a budget there's Century 21 in midtown and downtown. Or take a short trip outside to Secaucus to the outlets. I don't recommend DC for much of anything unless you love other tourists or government.
New York City was once the nation's capital. Should have stayed that way. I find DC hot, touristy and boring.
We are rated #1 by Zagat Survey in New York City and that's the world
That statement so embodies the New York perspective. LMAO.
