rout from boynton beach fl. To Farmington conn skipping heavy traffic and beltway and Richmond thanks for your input and a ny motels along the way I plan to drive about 7 hrs a day thank you all. Norm

You should be able to do that in 2 days, if you are willing to drive a bit more than 7 hours....but if you're skipping I-95, I don't know.....you'll be going way out of your way1

Any motels? It is nearly impossible to drive for a couple of hours in the USA without going past a safe motel with a vacancy, even on what you think are "back roads". Soon or later, the back road you are on will intersect with a major highway, and there will be a motel there.
