After doing a lot of research, my wife and I have came down to either The Breakers Palm Beach or Half Moon Jamaica.

We will be away from Jan 14 to the 25 and cannot decide which destination to go to. Whats your guys opinion of both places and which would you prefer?

Which resort has the better beach?

Which has better weather during January?

Which is an overall better experience?

For almost guaranteed 'better weather', eg warm to warm plus, Jamaica in January...

Having been to both, (work related), they are quite different obviously.

Half Moon is 'Hey, we are on a Caribbean island" vs we are in an old but redone semi-luxury resort on the Atlantic shore in Palm Beach. A difficult comparo, imo.

Why Jamaica? If you go there, you'll be pretty much stuck at the resort. Have you considered Grand Cayman? The Ritz Carlton there is very nice and it's a very safe area where you'll have no issues leaving the resort gates to explore other beaches and shop downtown.

Go to Mexico. Cabo and Puerto Vallarta are wonderful that time of year.
