Some airline (at least one) has a “no mask – no fly” policy. How do you feel about it, would you take a flight without one? And should all passengers be required to wear a mask on the plane? Even if/when this Covid-19 is gone, what about all the other airborne colds, flu, bugs etc.?
Moderator note: People, I've cleaned up this thread and deleted most, if not all, of the off-topic comments. Remember that you are in the travel forum, and post on topic. This is not about politics, not about fat people taking up too much space on a plane, not about wearing a mask in a grocery store. Keep your comments related to the opening post. If the thread goes off-topic again, it will be locked.
Too many vulnerable people in my life, and whether or not it makes me sick, I don't want to be the asymptomatic carrier that causes someone else to get sick. I'll gladly wear a mask.
Seems silly that people can't tolerate wearing a mask for a few hours...healthcare workers wear them for 12 hour shifts and they aren't sitting around!
I would expect to have the same policy on essentially all airlines very soon.
Expect to wear a mask or not fly.
I support the idea. If nothing else it will filter out those who are reckless and indifferent before they get on the plane. And those are more likely to have an undiagnosed infection.
As much as it's unappealing, I'd wear a mask. I understand in Asia, a mask is considered good manners and good hygiene. They have experienced prior epidemics such as SARS and understand the importance and after Covid19, I am hopeful that will be the case in the other countries.
