If you haven't done so already, you should also price nearby airports, as LA has several. You've probably tried Los Angeles International (LAX), but also try Ontario (ONT), Burbank (BUR), Santa Ana (SNA) and Long Beach (LGB). Some airlines, such as Southwest, won't appear on online agencies like Expedia and Orbitz.
