Once while driving a tractor that was pulling a large mower I spotted a 5 dollar bill. A split second later I spotted the 5 dollar bill coming out of the discharge chute in tiny little pieces.

I found 2 $20 bills flying around above a sidewalk on a main street near where I live. There was nobody walking near by so I don't know where they came from.

When I was staying at this tiny village (no stores or anything like that) in the mountains of Slovenia I found two forts. One right across the border with Italy was built for WWI. The other was built during the Napoleonic era and had a mass grave and memorial for a bunch of Austro-Hungarian soldiers who died there.

Well, I suppose I didn't find them but I honestly had no idea they were there until I decided to take the 30 minute walk to the Italian border.

Getting off of a plane coming back to U.S. from South Africa, I found a very expensive looking Canon Camera and a large lens kit ( probably for nature photography) left by some passenger in their seat.
I picked it up, noted the seat #, and gave it to the air hostess at the plane door.

I am hoping they identified the passenger in their computer system and returned the equipment.

Default What have you found when out and about?

I found some beers in a river when the level was low, never been opened and they must have been in there for many years and yes I opened one and tasted it, it tasted just like a bottle of beer that had been in the bottom of a river for many years. Found a six pack of PBR in a creek and yes I drank it. I found a 20 dollar bill in the street when I was walking my dog. I've found knives and a hatchet while camping.

Three hundred Eighty six dollars in a brown bag on the floor in Barnes and Nobles. Really, my son found it. I was following him around the store. He ran ahead because he saw the bag. By the time we got it to the checkout, an elderly woman had already called about the missing cash.

The store manager wanted us to return it to her directly. I have no idea why. The woman didn't say a word. Literally, not one word. She offered a $20, but we didn't want it.
