If you've been on a romantic vacation to Aruba before with someone else, don't take your husband there as one of your several honeymoons.

Much depends on what you like to do and what you expect from your honeymoon. I notice some suggested Cabo, we have been there few times (cruising only) and are not impressed. They have rebuilt since the hurricane 2 years ago, but in the process of rebuilding it seems Cabo has lost its charm and has just become another must tourist trap with very little to offer.

Playa Del Carmen, though I agree with those who say they wouldn't do Mexico, is really very nice and a little different from much of Mexico. One of our favorite vacation spots in the Caribbean is Barbados, lots to see and do, friendly people, very pretty. We also like St Maarten, but Aruba would be my choice from the places you are considering.. The biggest problem I see with Grand Cayman, even though a lot of people love it and yes, it is very safe, it can be a little boring and it is extremely pricy.

Our of curiosity have you considered a cruise?

Playa hands down. It's fine to go there. Plus, there is the added bonus of touring several nearby ruins.

I also really enjoyed Barbados. Lots to see and do there. Other places that I have really enjoyed are Cozumel, Providenciales (Turks and Caicos) and the Bayabibe in the Dominican Republic. I went to Punta Cana and will probably not return but I loved Bayahibe/Dominicus.

Turks and Caicos are awesome however that time of year I would lean towards the abc islands so Aruba would win. They rarely take direct hits from hurricanes so you would minimize your risks with that. I’ve heard great things about curaƧao from friends but never actually been there myself. We also love Roatan and St John but both have hurricane risks.
