Default 5-9 Day Vacation Ideas?

Hi! I'm looking for some recommendations on where the wife and I should go next month. We are both in need to a get-away. We would like to keep it under 9 days. While we are not looking for a cheap vacation, we don't want to spend $10K on a trip.

What would you suggest? If you could go anywhere for 5-9 days, where would you go?

If I could go anywhere for 5-9 days in March it would be a cruise to somewhere - maybe island hop the Caribbean. Or perhaps fly over to France just before springtime in Paris higher rates kick in.

Where are you? What are your interests? What kind of weather do you want? It's summer in Peru and New Zealand. There's the world's leading ice sculpture contest this month in Fairbanks, and another in Russia, and the sculptures will still be there, frozen, next month! The Caribbean or Alaska, Ireland or Papua New Guinea have different appeal depending on where you're starting and what you like.

No one else's travel idea is as good as your own. When you choose, do you know about researching on TripAdvisor.com? It's is a website where real travelers post their own experiences and opinions about cities, lodgings, restaurants, attractions, activities, etc. etc. Fabulous site!! Have fun!

I forgot about TripAdvisor. Great site.

We are pretty much up for just about anything. We live in Texas and would like to go anywhere where its not freezing!

We've done Mexico several times. Never been on a cruise before. Been to London but thats it as far as overseas. We tend to get bored if we are in the same place to long so perhaps a cruise would be our best bet. I'd love to go back to Europe but I'd rather spend a few weeks and hit all the cool places.

Go on a cruise, it's the best bang for your buck. Either the Carribbean, or Hawaii, both are terrific and the cost is a lot less than you think, way under your $10,000.

5 days? How about Yosemite in California? You know it may not seem so exotic to go to central California but I can assure you that Yosemite is one of the most beautiful places on earth. In addition it will be relatively inexpensive compared to Hawaii.
