I'm sure I missed a bunch of places but that is what I can remember...
I've been to Minneapolis, Atlanta, Detroit, and the outer parts of Chicago. I've driven through a handful of other cities like Fort Lauderdale and Orlando, but I won't count those as actual trips.
Out of those, I've only liked Minneapolis.
You really need to visit downtown, that's where most of the interesting things are. Just seeing the skyline alone is worth travelling downtown. There are also tons of great museums (the Art Institute is right up there with Louvre, National Gallery in London, Metropolitan imo), plus Shed Aquarium, Field Museum, Millennium Park, Navy Pier, Adler Planetarium. Also lot's of great restaurants and live music if you're into that.

I often wonder if these "name all cities/countries/states you have been to" threads are an internet form of masturbation. Relevant only to the self-poster. I guess I am cynical, but does anyone really care/read what the other posters document as the cities they've driven through?
My favorite cities for vacation are actually quite small. Larger cities are not necessarily more memorable.
Look up the lyrics to Johnny Cash "I've Been Everywhere " . Pretty much that is where I have been in the US including the first one Winnemucca.ETA I have never been to Alaska.
I was about to post the lyrics myself... it covers about 95% of my travels.
When I travel, I usually like traveling internationally because it's foreign cultures and stuff that really interests me, but nonetheless traveling is traveling and I'll take it as long as I get to do so. But compared to most other people, I've been nowhere in the U.S.!
