A friend of mine told me about this new type of bank account that you can use when you travel from the US to: Europe, Great Britain, Japan, Australia, India, Singapore, Canada, and Hong Kong. It allowed me to exchange US dollars for Australian dollars weeks in advance of my trip at a rate lower than the airport kiosks. They send you a Visa debit card that can be used internationally to get the currency from an ATM or just use as a debit card when buying things. Best part is that they paid me interest on both my US dollars and Australian dollars. They are called Zenbanx. Worked great for my Australian trip. Off to Italy in two weeks. Just curious if anyone else is using them.
