Definitely not impossible- I've done my share of 37-38 minute connections there and never had an aircraft door slamming in my face. But also definitely not ideal- figure about an 80-85% chance of a good connection, which isn't a good idea for a nervous or inexperienced flyer.

Just did this in Feb......plane was late landing and next gate was the furthest one away...had to take the underground train...just made it...It was a riot running with a 9 yr old!!! I am going to try and avoid Atlanta in the future....

This is true. Remember, they close the gate 10 minutes prior to departure, so you really only have 26 minutes.

We missed our connecting flight from Atl, to RDU for the exact same reasons given. The gate was changed at the last minute to the other side of the Airport. It didn't help I had fractured my foot while vacationing in Key West. By the time we got to the gate it was closed & watched the plane take off. The only choice we had was to take the last flight out that night around 11:00 pm. To make matters even worse when we arrived at 1:30 in the morning, the battery was dead in our car. My husband left the GPS plugged in while we were gone.
