My husband turn 55 in January and I was thinking of surprising him with a trip to Figi.
We have never been to Figi and I think it would make for a great surprise. For those of you who have been what island and hotel/resort would you recommend? Of course I would like something of moderate price as I don't want to break the bank on this trip. Thank you in advance.

Never been to Figi, but be sure to also look into COOK Islands. I appreciate the many 'non-tourist' islands. Rent a scooter and small boat & you are set free. South Pacific is magical! And restful.
How long you plan to be there and what's your budget?
Flight alone would be around $1800/pp but if you lucky you might get a deal of the day for same price incl. hotel

Get some dvds and weigh what would suit DH.
Never heard of Cook Island, will look into it. Thanks for the idea. We are not divers but love to snorkel, ride bike and just lay by the beach with a cocktail in hand

Thank you for the links. I actually came across the first one during a search last night. I did see that the flights are quite expensive, but I am hoping I can find a good deal if I keep searching probably won't be by much but every dollar counts.
