Hmm. The first time I went to Paris, I spent one and a half days. I went to about 4 meetings, had a memorable dinner and a good lunch, and hired a driver to drive me all over the city to sightsee. It is not an ideal schedule but I saw a lot and figured out what I'd want to visit on the next trip. (And someone else paid for it.)

Well yeah, for an introductory overview it may be fine. What I was getting at is that one will not experience much depth from visiting Paris (or any other city of that magnitude) for only one and a half days. It can take half of a day just to see the Louvre or Versailles properly, let alone all the other things.

A person can learn a lot about the city just browsing the internet in that time, even over a few meals in their hometown.
