Hi guys,

I take generic meds for high blood pressure and cholesterol, nothing narcotic, and I will be traveling to Fiji in February. I was told I need to bring my scripts with me (I guess to make sure the meds are for me and not for sale), but I was wondering if I need a written script (most are now transmitted electronically to the drug store) or if I just took the bottles with me, would it be all right.

Thanks!

I live in US, and I've traveled within the past year to Indonesia, N. and S. Vietnam, China, Hong Kong, Tibet, Cambodia, Laos, and Thailand. Not once was I asked about medicines in my carry-on and I was traveling with a fair quantity including prn doses of Percocet and Valium. The officers are more interested in your Visa/Passport status. The meds were either in their individual bottles or loose in one of those Monday to Sunday plastic pill boxes. I did not have any prescriptions on me when I carried them loose. The bottle labels itself confirms if they are for you and date dispensed.
