$80 for all years after age 62 is a raging bargain. We pay $80 for ONE year now. As I predicted, the price increase will hit a little before one of us gets to 62. Oh, well, given what is likely to happen with public funding of public lands, this does not come as a surprise.
We bought ours 7 years ago and since we travel all over the US 4-5 months a year, we've saved a fortune. Anywhere we go, whether it is a national park, state park or even an local attraction, I flash that card. You'd be surprised the number of places that honor it with either free admission or a discount.
