FYI every time I have bought electronics there has been a very cheap replacement insurance that includes breakage, dropping, spills, etc. available to purchase separately. You would have much more luck with getting them to replace your laptop than you would random strangers.

I have an assortment of what I refer to as "adult sippy cups", namely cups with locking lids. I have some for coffee and some for cold beverages, but all of them are spill proof when the lid is locked/straw is down. I know myself and my limitations.
