Sevilla, Torremolinos and Malaga are also worth visiting. Olvera is lovely.

For a future visit, do Lisboa, Nazaré, Évora, Obidos, Portalegre in Portugal, and then visit Oporto and Barcelona. Portugal is amazingly beautiful.

Wife and I went to Barcelona a couple of years back for about 3.5 days, almost 4. It was the end of a 2 week trip and we hadn't really planned out our days there, and I regret it looking back at it now. We're trying to go back, either to one of the beaches or hold off and do something like other parts of Portugal and Spain again.

DomRep.-

The american cinema has idealized Paris London, and Italy that really deserve to be visited .

But american cinema has muted completely Spain, the country with more tourism today practically of the world,.

And I think that is the reason why there is so little american tourism.-

I have also observed that the American Tourism that comes to Spain is concentrated in Barcelona especially lately for a movie of Woody Allen on Barcelona.-

I suggest you change your itinerary on the next trip and go to Madrid that has the best transports in Europe.
But this transport it is radial from Madrid and allows them to travel in trains of High speed from the Capital in the Center of Spain to the mediovales cities Patrimonio of Humanity that surrounds
them in 30 to 60 minutes,Toledo Segovia Salamanca ,Escorial,Avila etc etc

And in less 2,5 hours to 350Km H of speed to ,Seville,Valencia,Barcelona etc etc.-

Finally I dare to suggest that you do not miss out on spring Granada or Seville(Best in May, never in July and august).-

And if you want to see a medioval wonderful city full of student from all over Europe Salamanca.

If you is gourmet I suggest a trip the Paradise of the gastronomy to San sebastian that have more stars Michelin that Paris etc etc

Urdiales I am glad to hear Seville and Granada are best in may. That is when we are going ! We also found out we will be in Madrid during San Isidro. Is that a good time to be there ? Spain and Italy have always been my top countries to visit in Europe. I have been alternating my travels between the two. As nice a city as Barcelona was I do prefer Madrid and I think I will probably also prefer Seville over it as well.

phillygirl 123.-

The Really ideal month to go to Seville is April where are first the Processions the holy week and then the fair .
Are 2 unique things in the World that the one who sees them will remember them all their life if you get hotel for April Seville that is very difficult for April ,.

Cordoba y Seville have the heat higher of Spain in summer .,If you can not to go the trip in April must try to advance at the beginning of May the visit to Seville.-

Granada nevertheless the end of May and the beginning of June would be ideal ,.If you can attend some concert of your famous Festival in the Alhambra do not miss .-

FRom Madrid to Seville you can go by high speed train and also to Malaga and marbella Coast of Sun in may and June that they are less hot because is the coast and visit Port Banus one the most luxurious places in Europe .-

San isidro in a Great City as Madrid is not important .Only is very important the week of Saint Isisdro because are celebrated the bullfights best of Spain.-Are a awesome show.-

I'll move to A Coruña very soon. Galicia isn't known outside Europe.

Goodhombre.-

Has visited you Spain before going to Galicia.-?

I would be surprised to start a visit to Spain through La Coruña that is the most
different region in the other extreme of Spain from Barcelona and Andalucia to where all tourists they go to visit of Spain in first place.-

I suggest you that after Galicia continue the North for a magnificent road, the Green Spain ,Asturias Oviedo,Cangas de Onis Ribadesella Covadonga,Santander,Bilbao y San sebastian a Paradise of mountains and beaches without tourists and also where you eat as in his life could dream .-.-

I haven't been to Spain yet, even though I toyed with the idea of going to Spain for vacation in the past. However, like most other tourists, Galicia wasn't on my radar. Barcelona is touristy for a good reason, the architecture is impressive and absolutely unique.

Thanks. I'll tour Spain after I've settle down in A Coruña. Actually I'll probably spend the first months in Galicia. The green Spain is a real treat for a nature lover like me. My contract is renewable up to five years, I expect to visit the whole Iberia peninsula. Five years should suffice I suppose.
