I never had a problem with AirbnB and Home y Casa (its Spanish equivalent) but I was scammed by TripAdvisor, I warn you not a make a rental through TripAdvisor, one has to pay 30% upfront and if you change your mind it's impossible to get a refund (happened to me).
It's gotten more expensive, now that they have added a service fee, but I generally still end up using them, renting a place with a kitchen and saving on food. Early booking is a must. There are no deals in Paradise.
The real question is it cheaper than getting a nice hotel through Priceline? I've never used Airbnb, so maybe i should try it. Also, have any of you stayed at an Airbnb in Vegas? Or is it pretty obvious to get a hotel?
Vegas hotel prices are highly variable and can be quite to relatively cheap on weekdays when there are no major conventions or other events in town. The best way of getting a deal there is having flexible travel dates and doing your special event research
