For long flights I prefer wide body aircraft. I have a hard time sitting for more than an hour or so even in first class. With wide body aircraft there are more places where I can stand for a while and not be in everyone's way.
Studies have shown that most people like a larger plane with two aisles and places to stand around when they get restless. But the City Data posters have no trouble being jammed into a tin box in the sky for an all night flight, it appears.

Oh yes, we're a motels crew. Or maybe we're just fiscally prudent, allowing us to do things like travel more frequently.

You seem to be deriving some false comfort from having a second aisle. I don't get restless and I don't walk around on planes.

Exactly. I recently took a 14 hour trip from DC to Tokyo ... I went to the lav a couple times, but that was the extent of the walking around. I never availed myself of the other aisle.
I like any plane that has 2 seats on one side next to the window so my husband and I can sit in them and not have to step over strangers to pee on an 8 hour flight but still get the window. Other than that I don't care. Lately I take a sleeping pill when I get on the plane and wake up there so it's a non-issue to Europe.
Oh, same here. I dearly love not having to sit beside a stranger. If I'm going to snore and drool on someone (or vice-versa), make it someone related to me....lol.

I sure do! I like the two aisles so I can walk around when my legs start getting stiff and my back hurts. I just can't sit that long. With one aisle, it seems to always be blocked by a cart when I want to stroll.
