Being awakened by roosters very early mornings in Latin America for one!

Being in a hotel too close to a mosque with an early morning wailing sound, for two!

Occasional loud, thumping stereo boom cars for three!

How about you?

Stayed on the River Walk in San Antonio and horse drawn buggies were going by still at midnight with clop, clop, clop. Nightclub across the street was loud until well past midnight. Trucks from a catering service started up a couple of hours after the nightclub stopped. We had to get really tired to get any sleep.

A herd of cattle being led down the road of a small German town where we were staying in a B&B. We woke to moos and clanging cowbells.

I assume you're talking about annoying noise at night when you want to sleep. Since I always take a travel-size white noise machine and ear plugs with me, I don't hear anything I don't want to hear.

Downtown Indianapolis, 2016. We stayed at a hotel next to the steam plant, and they decided to do some system testing during the night. It sounded like jet engines for hours and hours, and that was inside our room. If you went outside, it was so loud that it was painful.
